ESSENCE Magazine celebrates the city of Atlanta

On Sept 15th, Essence Magazine and Ford Motor Company came together to celebrate the city of Atlanta through food, music, art, and lifestyle.

With appearances from MC Lyte, Monica, and many other creatives, the “My City 4 Ways” event shined light on the advancement of Atlanta and its people.

“I’m from Los Angeles. I love the weather ,but the people are here,” according to MC Lyte in an interview with Senior Editor of ESSENCE magazine, Charreah Jackson.

Ford Motor Company also celebrated the city of Atlanta by allowing event attendees to test drive a vehicle of their choice. Many attendees received an opportunity to drive a car of their dreams and even received a complimentary gift bag.

According to the Senior Editor of ESSENCE magazine, Charreah Jackson, “This entire experience is really about celebrating what makes this city beautiful.”

Vendors and Designers were also able to display their talent with mini pop up shops and tables. Guests were able to purchase items from black owned vendors, take fun photos, and view art.

Each guest recognized at the event highlighted the things Atlanta is most known for. ESSENCE magazine and Ford Motor Company has held this event annually.
