Mac Miller, the 26-year-old rapper, was found dead Friday shortly before noon inside his home in California. He was pronounced dead on the scene from an apparent overdose.
According to the TMZ, emergency dispatch reveals that a call was received from a male friend inside of Miller’s home. The first responders were informed of a patient in cardiac arrest.
The notable rapper has struggled with substance abuse for a number of years. This was discovered after his breakup with American artist, Ariana Grande.
He was arrested in May for a DUI after hitting a utility pole with his 2016 Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, per Fox News. The rapper had a tour that was going to begin within the next few months featuring his most recent album, “Swimming.” Many songs on this album discuss the rapper’s substance abuse and incidents within the last few years.
Miller’s friends and family shared their memories of the rapper.
I dont know what to say Mac Miller took me on my second tour ever. But beyond helping me launch my career he was one of the sweetest guys I ever knew. Great man. I loved him for real. Im completely broken. God bless him.
