To commemorate 15 years since the release of his album Trap Muzik, T.I. held his debut opening for his Trap Music Museum in Atlanta, Georgia on September 29, 2018.
Instead of having the typical red carpet, the trap music legend had a black carpet that was star-studded with A-list celebrities such as Monica, LeToya Luckett, Usher Raymond, Toya Wright, Reginae Carter, and a lot of other artists and DJs.
T.I.’s family also made a special appearance to celebrate this pivotal moment in trap music history.
Alongside the music legends in attendance, T.I. included creative artists too! Local painter, Jamond Bullock, got the opportunity to display his original art inside the museum.
Overall, the Trap Music Museum is a major success! Its numerous simulations of real life in the hood make the museum very engaging and interactive. When you walk in, you are immediately introduced to a display of a neighborhood corner store that leads to a reenactment of being inside your grandma’s house in the hood. After leaving grandmas’ house, you officially enter the museum.
As if the legendary exhibits were not enough, T.I. also incorporated an escape room called “Escape the Trap House” with the first level being “The Bluff” which is located in the West End on the West side of Atlanta.
The Trap Music Museum opens to the public September 30 and is only open for 45 days. For more information about location and ticket pricing, visit https://trapmusicmuseum.us/.
