Earlier this week, it was reported that shots were fired on the set of Tekashi 69, Nicki Minaj, and Kanye West. Although Minaj was not yet on the set, the other two artists recalled hearing the shots. Luckily, no one was injured during the incident. Back in August, Tekashi was shot at while on set with 50 Cent. 50 Cent even posted a video from that shooting.
However, not everyone was concerned with the safety of 69 afterward. Compton rapper, YG quoted a tweet about the incident with several laughing emojis. This tweet has been deleted. Tekashi 69 responded by mentioning an “Uber lawsuit.”
The two rappers have been beefing for months now. It all started when Tekashi referred to YG as a “Toot It and Boot It” kind of rapper while in an interview. In fact, earlier this week they were battling it out on social media.
69 wanted his Instagram followers to address “who’s a real street n-gga.” He instructed followers to like for him and comment for YG. Following this incident, the two went back and forth through video posts.
As of now, there seem to be no expectations for the beef to stop. Hopefully, both rappers agree to keep the peace, at least, for a little.
